Well here it goes...i'm not much of a writer but I want to start blogging to document all of the sweet things Grayce does each day for our friends and family to read but also so that I don't forget (seeing that I have slight memory issues :) So please bear with me in my lack of great writing skills because i'm positive Grayce's cuteness will make up for it!
On July 29th at 10:55 p.m. after 23 hours of labor, God blessed Keith and I with the most precious gift we could ever wish to receive. Grayce Josephine Goza entered the world at a whopping 8 pounds 7 ounces, a far cry from the 6 pounds the Dr. predicted she would be! The last month with her has been the best of my life thus far and i'm sure Keith feels the same. She is the best baby. She rarely cries, sleeps well, eats well, smiles often, and has the cutest "poop" face (maybe TMI but I don't want to forget these things!) People always talk about the things you have to give up when you have a baby and i'm sure there are things we have given up, but the things we have gained far outweigh anything we have given up!
Grayce at 1 month old:
Here are a few things she does at 1 month that I always want to remember:
1. When she yawns she makes this little yelping sound, almost like it took so much energy to let out that yawn. Cutest sound ever!
2. This past week she has started cooing and laughing often. She especially likes when you say boo, hi, and make strange noises.
3. When she is hungry she grunts like a little piggy. I've now grown accustomed to being woke up by the little piggy noises at 4a.m.
4. The previously mentioned "poop" face is contrary to its name, so adorable. She purses her lips together like she is saying "ooo", wrinkles her forehead, and squints her eyes. One of these days I will catch it on camera and share this cuteness with you.
5. At the moment she definitely has her Momma's girl moments. When she is upset she normally wants me to cuddle her close and sing to her. Nothing feels better than feeling that love from her. That being said she loves her Daddy and will break her neck trying to return the kisses he gives her.
I plan on updating our blog a lot more often now that our life is hopefully going to calm down some. Thanks for all your prayers and sweet well wishes for Grayce. She is such a blessing to us!
